Costa Quebrada, Santander, Spain

I had visited the Cantabria, Spanish region before, but I had passed unnoticed this fantastic coast cataloged in Stock Points of Geological Interest IGME (Instituto Geológico y Minero de España), and included in the Natura 2000 network as SCI (Site of Community Interest) in 2005 which are now called SACs (Special Areas of Conservation).

It is located in just 10Km. away of the capital, Santander and the Geodiversity path that goes along the coast from Peninsula de la Magdalena in Santander till the sand dunes of Liencres, extends an extraordinary landscape created in the relationship with the land and sea for millions of years and further includes a valuable biological community.
