El Tot Mataró
Jesús Coll, photographer born in Mataró (Barcelona), exhibits in the tenth Festival of the Image of Calella: Festimatge 2015, from 4 to 26 April. Festimatge wants to be the meeting point for lovers of cinema and photography. The Coll exhibition: “Aixó no és tot” (This is not all, quite a retrospective), will be the main Festimatge exhibition to be held on Calella, Ajuntament Vell gallery. The exhibition consists of 90 images, some of them large-format and themes from the landscape, portrait or nude, mostly in black and white, but also included a part of the work in color.
40 years photographing
Coll explains about his exhibition, that he is curious by nature: “I have always given the freedom to face any photographic challenge. So, besides learning the technics and photographic language, at times I also had to learn other jobs to accomplish a given photographic goal. My curiosity has led me to aproach all kinds of photography with no fear. This is my first exhibition in 40 years. Some of the photos presented could’ve been seen 30 years ago, if I had simply been left where to hang them on”.
