“The Calella Image Festival risks and exhibits the first exhibition of erotic photography that can be seen in the city, unpublished images by photographer Jes\u00fas Coll that no gallery had dared to show before”<\/strong><\/h2><\/span>

Jes\u00fas Coll opened the exhibition, highlighting the difficulty for the artist photographer to get a living from it.<\/p><\/div>\n

For the first time, Calella hosts an exhibition of erotic photography<\/strong>. The exhibition is entitled “Xpressions” and is signed by the photographer from Matar\u00f3, Jes\u00fas Coll, who confesses that it is the first time he has held this exhibition. “On one occasion just a few photographs were shown at an erotic festival, but I don’t consider this an exhibition.”<\/em> The fact is that these are not recent images, as he immortalized them 20 years ago. Rather, due to their content, they have no place in the vast majority of exhibitions<\/strong>. “I have offered them and the response has been that despite the high quality of the work, they have no place in their exhibition space,”<\/em> explains the photographer, who does not consider society to be too conservative but rather the “representatives” of that society. Instead, Festimatge has opted to show it to the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is striking just to enter the column room of the Llobet Factory, since it is not exposed in a diaphanous way like the others, but rather it is in a closed space, creating a circuit and separating it from the others to limit access to minors. A pink light curtain gives way to an immersive experience. The photographs show scenes of explicit sex<\/strong>, heterosexual, homosexual and transsexual, without any censorship. Furiously focused black and white images, with great preparation, although at first glance they may seem spontaneous. “I like straight, realistic photography that makes the viewer think whether it is a photograph or not,”<\/em> specifies Coll.<\/p>\n

The photographer’s specialty is not the erotic image, but the landscape<\/strong> and nature<\/strong>. In fact, he confesses that “I don’t really like working with people, I get very nervous”<\/em>, but 20 years ago he decided to travel to Germany to carry out his first erotic photography session, which he finally captured in the book “Xpressions”<\/strong>, in which states that he does not like the hypocrisy of some. Mostly men enjoying cable porn on TV and who would not aprove their sons and daughters to engage in this work while they get enjoyment with the sons and daughters of some other parents. The book, like the exhibition, leaves no one indifferent.<\/p>\n

Jes\u00fas Coll invites us to reflect on sex beyond the explicitness of the photographed scenes<\/strong>, in an exhibition in which Festimatge has risked, exposing himself to criticism from the most conservative and laying the first stone so that a natural act, but also censored, have a place in conventional exhibitions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Por primera vez, Calella acoge una exposici\u00f3n de fotograf\u00eda er\u00f3tica<\/strong>. La muestra se titula “Xpressions” y la firma el fot\u00f3grafo de Matar\u00f3 Jes\u00fas Coll, quien confiesa que es la primera vez que las expone. “En una ocasi\u00f3n se mostraron cuatro fotos en un festival er\u00f3tico, pero esto no lo considero una exposici\u00f3n”. <\/em>El motivo no es que sean im\u00e1genes recientes, de hecho las inmortaliz\u00f3 hace 20 a\u00f1os. Sin\u00f3 que, por su contenido, no tienen cabida en la inmensa mayor\u00eda de exposiciones.<\/strong> “Yo las he ofertado y la respuesta ha sido que pese a la alta calidad del trabajo, no tienen cabida en su espacio expositivo”, <\/em>explica el fot\u00f3grafo, que no considera que la sociedad sea demasiado conservadora sin\u00f3 los “representantes” de esa sociedad. En cambio, Festimatge ha apostado por mostrarlo al mundo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Llama la atenci\u00f3n solo entrar en la sala de columnas de la F\u00e1brica Llobet, ya que no est\u00e1 expuesta de forma di\u00e1fana como las dem\u00e1s, sin\u00f3 que est\u00e1 en un espacio cerrado, creando un circuito i separ\u00e1ndola de las dem\u00e1s al objeto de que no entren los menores de edad. Una cortina con luz rosada da paso a una experiencia inmersiva. Las fotograf\u00edas muestran escenas de sexo expl\u00edcito<\/strong> tanto hetereosexuales como homosexuales y transexuales, sin censura alguna. Im\u00e1genes rabiosamente enfocadas en blanco y negro, con una gran preparaci\u00f3n, aunque a primera vista puedan parecer espont\u00e1neas. “Me gusta la fotograf\u00eda directa, realista, que haga pensar al espectador si se trata de una fotograf\u00eda o no”<\/em>, especifica Coll.<\/p>\n

La especialidad del fot\u00f3grafo no es la imagen er\u00f3tica, sino la de paisaje y naturaleza<\/strong>. De hecho, confiesa que “no me gusta mucho\u00a0 trabajar con personas, me pongo muy nervioso”, <\/em>pero 20 a\u00f1os atr\u00e1s se anim\u00f3 a viajar a Alemania para realizar su primera sesi\u00f3n de fotograf\u00eda er\u00f3tica que finalmente plasmo en el libro “Xpressions<\/strong>“, en el que expone que no le gusta la hipocres\u00eda<\/strong> de algunos. En su mayor\u00eda hombres disfrutando del porno por cable en la TV y que en cambio no admitir\u00edan que sus hijos\/as se dedicaran a este trabajo. \u00bf En qu\u00e9 quedamos ? \u00bf Est\u00e1 bien o no est\u00e1 bien ?<\/em> El libro, como la exposici\u00f3n, no deja indiferente.<\/p>\n

Jes\u00fas Coll invita a reflexionar sobre el sexo m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la explicidad de las escenas fotografiadas<\/strong>, en una muestra en que Festimatge ha arriesgado, exponi\u00e9ndose a las cr\u00edticas de los m\u00e1s conservadores y pone la primera piedra para que un acto natural, pero tambi\u00e9n censurado, tenga cabida en las exposiciones convencionales.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
